This summers project is a new set of cruising sails for the Dubois 52m "Red Dragon". The sails are being made from Stratis membranes made at the plant in New Zealand and being assembled at the loft in Palma. The mainsail currently under construction is 650 sq/m utilising "titanium" coloured taffeta and the all new ICE fibre that is revolutionising the superyacht sailmaking industry. The fibre is the same modulus (resistance to stretch in lay terms) as Carbon but half the weight. As its a flat fibre the membranes actually end up thinner that standard sails.
